Q: How is Therapeutic Alliances different from other agencies?

Therapeutic Alliances offers both weekday therapy sessions as well as evening and Saturday sessions in order to help promote the involvement of the family as a whole within the therapeutic process.
The founders and therapists of Therapeutic Alliances have over 15 years of combined experience within the mental health profession. Additionally, they each have 3 years experience working throughout Wake and Durham counties providing Intensive In-Home services to the county’s youth and families at-risk for out-of-home placements.
Therapy sessions are family-focused in order to promote lasting change and positive growth for all family members involved.
Therapy sessions can also be scheduled for a minimum of 30-minutes in duration in order to accommodate each person's individual needs.

A: We serve children, adolescents, adults, and families. Specifically, children, adolescents, and families are our specialty. We serve consumers dealing with an array of life challenges including but not limited to: • Family Conflict Resolution • ADD/ADHD • Defiant Behaviors • Improving Social Skills • Building Self-Esteem • Depression, Mood Disorders • Parenting Skills Training • Communication Skills • Coping Skills Interventions • Anger and Stress Management • School Related Problems
Q: What funding sources does Therapeutic Alliances accept?
A: We currently DO accept Medicaid, Self-pay, and Out-of-Network Insurance. We are currently working to become In-Network providers with insurance companies throughout North Carolina and look forward to accepting such funding sources in the near future. We presently DO NOT accept IPRS or Healthchoice consumers.

Upon receiving your referral form, a therapist from Therapeutic Alliances will contact you in order to complete the referral process and schedule your initial session.
Q: What therapy models are implemented?
A: Therapy interventions may include but are not limited to play therapy, family play therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, family-systems therapy, and structural therapy. (Please visit our Therapy Techniques page for a more detailed descriptions of the therapy modules utilized)
Q: Does Therapeutic Alliances prescribe medications?
A: Therapeutic Alliances does not prescribe medications. If a consumer needs or desires a medication evaluation then Therapeutic Alliances will assist in referring the consumer for a psychiatric evaluation and/or physician medical evaluation.
